Evan's Baked Goods

I can't convey to you exactly how much of the car was taken up with baked goods/candy on our way out to Iowa. Suffice it to say, it was a very significant portion between Jill and I. I made some snickerdoodles and a divinity peanut butter roll for Evan after his most recent comment on how my meringue drops looked like divinity. I've never actually made any kinda of candy before, but this one wasn't that difficult actually. It was Mark's recipe, so I will probably try it again too and try to get the peanut butter to stick a bit better to make a more attractive spiral.

Also, for some inexplicable reason, these snickerdoodles puffed up. All my other snickerdoodles in the past three months, and there have been quite a few, have been flatter and a little crunchy on the outside and chewey on the inside. I kinda liked them that way.

Yummy candy.... little bit more peanut butter would have worked for me. Love my peanut butter.

Snickerdoodles still tasty as ever.

The divinity was delicious. I liked the almond flavor. The snickerdoodles were perfect, I say. Dan and Jess appreciated them.

hmmm....how is it that I'm your only friend you haven't baked for. Some of these people you have baked for twice. did you break up with me?

I tend not to bake for you, dearest friend Katie, because I am well aware of the fact that you are better at baking than I am. Thus, do I feel ass-like for making you anything. But you name it, what do you want and I will bake it for you when you are home for Easter. We can eat it while we dye eggs with rubber bands and aluminum foil.
