Dan's Blue Hearts

Dan, Connie's husband, wanted some iced sugar cookies. I thought I would try out a new sugar cookie recipe. These were for poofy and more cake-like cookies. Frankly I was fairly indifferent. But this recipe was easier as far as the roll-out and cut-out portion of the baking event goes.


You could go with some depressing EmmyLou Harris "Icy Blue Heart" lyrics for these...but I tend to think they look more smurf blue than cold dead heart blue. Just me though. These had buttercream icing.


But, some of them had a really soft peanut butter icing. It was tasty, but it didn't set up well.
